PRESS RELEASE: Paradigm Corporation Limited,
Hong Kong and Flagship Technologies, Inc. USA signed a joint marketing
agreement for SHIPS*AMS Service in the Asia Pacific Region
Maryland, January 15, 2003
Lasse V. Syversen, CEO of Flagship Technologies,
Inc., a Bloksberg Inc. company, based in Maryland announced today
that Paradigm Corporation Limited, based in Hong Kong has become
the sales agent for Flagship’s SHIPS*AMS Service in Asia.
Paradigm Corporation Limited announced, at the
same time that their product Freight Management 2000 (FM2000)
is complied with the CAMIR standard adopting by the U.S. Customs.
Flagship Technologies provides the AMS platform,
which allows user to submit their manifest details to the US Customs
directly.
FM2000 a freight forwarding application will
directly integrate with the Flagship’s AMS platform for
AMS data submission. Their current FM2000 users can simply have
a click from the system and their manifest details will automatically
submit to the US Customs via Flagship AMS data processing service.

Limited says: "Unlike other companies, we are not taking
this as a sales opportunity. We do not intend to create another
layer for AMS processing, which will increase the cost structure
of our customer. In fact, our objective is to promote a Direct
AMS service that they can benefit from a more cost effective solution."
U.S. Customs has implemented U.S. Customs 24
Hour Advanced Manifest Rule in December 2, 2002 as part of the
Customs Security Initiative (CSI) Program. U.S. Customs will initiate
enforcement action and deny unlading after the 60-days period
following December 2, 2002 for any non-fraudulent violations discovered.
February 1, 2003 will be the deadline.
